Choose your poster image
Open a static JPG, PNG or WebP. Use enough source detail for the finished poster: enlarging a small image cannot create missing detail.
Set the paper and page layout
Match A4 or US Letter and orientation to your paper. Choose rows, columns, margins and overlap. Review the reported poster size and whether the image is cropped.
Save the PDF and print a test page
Prepare the PDF, then use the download link to save it. In your PDF viewer, select the same paper size and print one page at Actual Size / 100% before printing the rest.
Choose poster margins and overlap
Overlap repeats a strip along neighboring pages, giving you room to trim and align the image. Margins protect the edges your printer cannot reach.
For A4 with 10 mm margins and 5 mm overlap, a 2 × 2 poster covers 375 × 549 mm. Print at Actual Size / 100% and test one sheet first. Physical print validation is still in progress during public beta.
Print and assemble your poster pages
- Match your paper. Select the same A4 or US Letter size and orientation in the tool and the print dialog. Keep margins large enough for your printer’s non-printable edges.
- Print the PDF at 100%. Each PDF page is already one sheet. Turn off Fit to page, shrink-to-fit and any additional poster tiling in the PDF viewer. Check the print preview and print a single test sheet first.
- Check the image before using the full set. If edges are missing, compare Show full image with Fill poster (crop), then inspect printer margins and scaling. If the picture looks soft, try a higher-resolution source or a smaller poster.
- Lay out, trim and join. Use Page labels & trim marks if helpful. Arrange the sheets by their rows and columns. With overlap enabled, trim one side of each shared edge and align the repeated image before taping from the back. With zero overlap, there is no repeated strip to align.

Which print setting should I choose?
Print at Actual Size or 100%, on the selected paper size. Do not use Fit to page. Print a test sheet before the full poster.
What does overlap do?
Adjacent pages repeat a small strip of the image. Trim one side of the shared edge and align the matching content before taping the sheets together.
Why is the poster smaller than the sheets added together?
The usable area excludes margins, and repeated overlap is counted only once in the assembled image. The preview reports this usable coverage.
Can I print accurate technical patterns?
This tool is for visual posters. Printer scaling and hardware margins require a physical test. Do not rely on it for precision measurement without calibration.
